21st century health etiquette

Throughout our evolutionary process, we always lived in a symbiotic tacit agreement with infectious organisms. But no matter how clean we are or how healthy we feel, we still carry billions of microbes on our bodies - there are 10 times more bacterial cells in your body than human cells.

Will we change our behaviour by preventing the spread of pathogens to others? What will be the consequences for our social conventions?

The leaflets explore some of the ethical concerns around health surveillance. Some are speculative examples of the way in which rapid detection devices could influence the 21st century health etiquette, while others concentrate on the Pathogen Hunter role.
